Isaiah 50-51; Proverbs 28:15-28; Matthew 25:31-46

Isaiah 50

Isaiah 50:4 Lord, thank You for waking me this morning and opening my understanding to Your will.

Isaiah 50:7 Determination. Sovereign Lord, help me to set my face like a stone, determined to do Your will. Lead me in triumph today.

Isaiah 50:10 Lord, help me to reverence You, obey Your voice and not live in my own light which is darkness. Help me to trust in You and to rely solely on You.

Isaiah 51

Isaiah 51:1-6 Lord, as I read these words I don’t just cry out for myself but for Your people Israel. As they approach Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, perhaps the most solemn holiday on the Jewish calendar. I pray the power of the Holy Spirit will be so at work that in the process of repentance, Yeshua will be revealed to them by the Holy Spirit, and that they will know true repentance from their sins.

Isaiah 51:7 Lord, teach me not to be afraid of people’s scorn or their insulting talk. We have a tendency to want other people to like us, not to hate us, but more than anything, we want to be known as Your children.

Isaiah 51:12 We live in a frightening world Lord. Help us to remember that when we have You on our side we have nothing to fear from mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear.

Proverbs 28:15-28

Proverbs 28:22 Lord, save us from get rich quick schemes, which seem to be sucking so many in.
Help us to be satisfied with all You have given us.

Proverbs 28:28 Lord, we pray today that You will multiply the godly in our church, community and nation.

Matthew 25:31-46

Matthew 25:31-40 Lord Jesus, we humbly ask for Your grace so that we can see You in the eyes of the strangers, the needy, the sick, and the imprisoned. Help us to serve You and them more and more.
