2 Kings 25;2 Chronicles 36; Psalm 137; John 4:1-26

2 Kings 25

2 Kings 27:7 Lord, how horrible, Zedekiah watches his children being killed. Yet sometimes we are so blinded to how easily the devil could destroy our children if we fail to pray for them and teach them Your ways. Keep my priorities straight. The lives of my children depend on it!

2 Kings 25:21 Your judgment is inescapable, God. I thank You that You sent Jesus to take sins punishment for me. Because of His death on the cross in my place, I need never fear Your judgment, Hallelujah!

2 Kings 25:24-26 The promises of the kingdoms of this world carry no weight. The peace and wealth of the enemy is short lived. Ask the Lord to protect your heart from this deception.

2 Chronicles 36

2 Chronicles 36:14-16 You have always been kind to me, Lord, warning me of the consequences of my sin. Forgive me for when I have not listened. Correct me before it is too late. May I never scorn Your Word and those You have sent to me in Your name.

2 Chronicles 36:17-20 No one on earth from east to west, or even from the wilderness, can raise another person up. It is God alone who judges; He decides who will fall.
But as for me, I will always proclaim what God has done. I will sing praise to the God of Israel (Psalm 75:6-7, 9)

2 Chronicles 36:22-23 You never forgot Your people, Lord! How amazing are these few words! You punished Your people, but You didn’t forget them or Your plan to restore them. What confidence in You I find reading these words.

Psalm 137

Psalm 137:5-6 As you live like a foreigner here on earth (1 Peter 2:11), how often do you remember Jerusalem, where the King of kings established His kingdom and will return to reign?

John 4:1-26

John 4:7-9 Jesus, how easily You broke down or disregarded the walls of race and nationality and gender as You sought out those who needed to know You. Teach me to do likewise.

John 4:13-14 Lord Jesus, I know You are the source of sweet, refreshing water that springs within us. So why do we so often neglect to drink? Remind me to hold out my cup so that you can fill it up.

John 4:21-24 Thank God for His Presence with you wherever you are and that you can worship Him anywhere and everywhere, in spirit and in truth.
