Jeremiah 43-44;Ecclesiastes 2; John 5:1-18

Jeremiah 43

Jeremiah 43:10-13 Father, I praise You because You can use even the enemies of Your people to accomplish Your will.

Jeremiah 44

Jeremiah 44:3 In light of this verse take time to meditate on your worship practices.Honestly face what is good and what is not good about them. Submit them to God for His inspection and revitalisation.

Jeremiah 44:7 Father save me from the self-destructive desires of my own heart.

Jeremiah 44:12 Lord God Almighty, Your words are so clear, I’m amazed that Your people ignored them. I have also done the same if I am honest. Forgive me. Consume my sinful habits and desires, and let Your mercy preserve my life.

Jeremiah 44:21 Lord, You know all things. Help me to please You in everything I think, say, and do.

Jeremiah 44:27 Pray for the salvation of your family, friends, and neighbours, so that God may show them His mercy rather than His anger and judgment.

Ecclesiastes 2

Ecclesiastes 2:3 Pray for those you know who try to escape from life’s difficulties through alcohol and substance abuse. Ask God to reveal to them the true and lasting peace that comes from knowing Him.

Ecclesiastes 2:9-11 Power, prestige, accomplishment, no such things can give lasting fulfilment or joy. Ask God to guard your heart and mind from their deceptive allure.

Ecclesiastes 2:12-16 Father, keep me from a fatalistic or cynical view of things. Yes, my life here on earth will one day end, but let my time, however long or short, be filled with the hope of spending eternity with You in heaven, where I will never be forgotten.

Ecclesiastes 2:24-26 Father, thank You for these gracious gifts, wisdom, knowledge, and joy. Help me to please You and seek Your blessings rather than the foolish treasures of the world.

John 5:1-18

John 5:6 Intercede on behalf of those you know who are in need of healing. Pray that God will reach down and give them the will and courage to yield themselves to His touch and blessing.
