Jeremiah 50-51; Ecclesiastes 3; John 5:19-47

Jeremiah 50

Jeremiah 50:2 God, I raise my flag of salvation high! I want to be part of spreading the Good News of the love of Jesus Christ in every nation, city, village and home.

Jeremiah 50:6 Pray for Christians who are wandering like lost sheep. Pray for those who are seeking direction but are looking in all the wrong places.

Jeremiah 50:20 Let no sin be found in me today, Lord; create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10)

Jeremiah 50:25 Lord, please open Your armoury and fight against our enemy today. Only with your help and your weapons can I hope to win the fight against sin and the Devil.

Jeremiah 50:34 Lord You are mighty and strong! You redeem me, You defend me. Only in You Lord do I find rest. You are worthy of my praise.

Jeremiah 50:38 Father I want to love only You and hate any idol or any other thing the world offers me (1 John 2:15)

Jeremiah 50:44 Who would dare challenge You or oppose Your will, Lord? How foolish that would be! But we are often a foolish people. Help us to submit our lives to Your will and to Your way.

Jeremiah 51

Jeremiah 51:5 Lord, I thank You that You do not forsake Your people. Even if we are unfaithful, You remain faithful. What a wonderful God we serve! You are worthy of our trust.

Jeremiah 51:6 Father, help us to flee from evil desires and evil places. Help me to ‘pursue faith and love and peace, and enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts” (2 Timothy 2:22).

Jeremiah 51:15 Almighty God, I praise You because You made the earth by Your power, and You preserve it by Your wisdom.

Jeremiah 51:17 Lord, You know everything. You know those who love You (John 21:17).

Jeremiah 51:20 Father, let me be a weapon in Your hand today. Use my life to frustrate evil and spread good.

Jeremiah 51:34 Pray that God’s people who feel crushed and weak because of circumstances beyond their control will find strength and victory in God.

Jeremiah 51:44 I praise You for defeating and exposing as false all the idols of the nations. Please deliver those who are still enslaved by false goods and man made religions.

Jeremiah 51:50 Lord, help me to remember You and be faithful to You regardless of where I am or what my schedule may be.

Jeremiah 51:56 Lord, I thank You that You only punish those who deserve it. You never punish without reason. I praise You for Your justice.

Ecclesiastes 3

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Lord, help me to rejoice, rather than despair, in the seasons and cycles of life. Give me a greater appreciation for life’s ceaseless flow.

Ecclesiastes 3:9-15 An eternal perspective and a healthy fear of God are difficult to maintain in this world. Ask God to keep your heart trained on Him and free from the corrupting influences of sin as you enjoy the good things of life.

Ecclesiastes 3:16-17 Injustice so pervades our society. Lord, Thank You that Your judgment is always in accordance with truth and holy integrity.

John 5:19-47

John 5:24 Reflect on this mystery and promise that those who respond in faith to Jesus’ words will never be condemned but have already passed from death into life. Let’s respond in praise and prayer.

John 5:25 Pray that Jesus will so live in you that when you speak, the “walking dead” will hear your voice and accept that Jesus is Lord and live.

John 5:41-44 It was so far away and so long ago, Lord, that you walked on earth, speaking these words and doing miracles. And yet these words and these images hold such beauty, hope, and welcome for me. I believe, Lord, help every area of my unbelief.
