Ezekiel 19-20; Psalm 35; John 15

Ezekiel 19

Ezekiel 19:9 Lord, this is such a sad picture of the punishment of the king of Israel receives for his rebellion. Remind our leaders today that rebellion against God as an a nation has consequences.

Ezekiel 19:13 Pray for people you know who are going through a hard and trying wilderness experience right now. Ask God to renew and refresh them with His presence.

Ezekiel 20

Ezekiel 20:1 Ask God to prompt the leaders of our churches throughout our nation to sincerely return to seeking His guidance.

Ezekiel 20:5 Lord, be our God, help us to seek You and You alone, not the false idols that others trust.

Ezekiel 20:10 Thank You Lord for how far You have brought me since I first started to trust You. Thank You for the various milestones that have been placed in my spiritual life along the way.

Ezekiel 20:12 Father, thank You for setting us apart to be holy. Please equip me with all I need for doing Your will and produce in me, through the power of Jesus Christ, all that is pleasing to You (Hebrews 13:20-21).

Ezekiel 20:21 Lord, let my children far surpass me in their faithfulness to You. Lord I read in Your word that by them obeying Your instructions they would give them life. Protect them from evil and unbelieving hearts that would turn them away from the living God (Hebrews 3:12).

Ezekiel 20:25 God, please protect us from following worthless customs and laws that do not lead to life. I find it disturbingly easy to lose sight of You in my everyday busyness, help me to keep my eyes and ears open to hear and see You working in my life, Lord.

Ezekiel 20:30 Lord, help me not to pollute myself by worshiping detestable idols. Please purify my intentions and fulfil my plans to please You in everything I do.

Ezekiel 20:33 Lord, I praise You for Your awesome power, and thank You that it has worked salvation not judgement in my life.

Ezekiel 20:40 Lord, “send out Your light and Your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to Your holy mountain, to the place where You live,” the place where I want to live (Psalm 43:3)

Ezekiel 20:48 God, strike a fire of love, purity, and faith in my heart today that will not be put out.

Psalm 35

Psalm 35:2 Lord God, You are a mighty warrior. Please put on Your armour, take up Your shield, prepare for battle, and fight my enemies for me.

Psalm 35:7 Pray for victims of injustice, who have been entrapped or abused though they did nothing wrong.

Psalm 35:10 Lord, who can compare with You? You rescue the weak and helpless, You protect the poor and needy. Use me, Lord, as Your servant to rescue and protect.

Psalm 35:18 Lord, I will thank You in front of my whole church. I will praise You before everyone. Give me the chance to tell someone else of Your marvellous deeds today.

Psalm 35:27 Thank You, Father, for those who have stood with me and been loyal to me over the years. Give them joy, as they have given me joy.

John 15

John 15:1-8 Lord Jesus, You are the True Vine the Source. If we stay connected to You, we will naturally bear fruit. Just as a branch draws life and substance from the vine I ask You Jesus to root this beautiful metaphor in my heart, and please root my heart firmly in Yours.
Thank You Heavenly Father because You are the Vinedresser, You own us and care for us. Thank You for pruning us by removing anything that hinders our usefulness and for trimming our weaknesses.

John 15:14-15 Jesus You have chosen us and called us to be Your friend and follower, and all You ask in return is obedience. Lord, give me strength and faith to obey You completely.
