2 Chronicles 31-32; Proverbs 24:1-16; Matthew 20:1-16

2 Chronicles 31

2 Chronicles 31:3-5 The king contributes to the sacrifice personally before he requires it of the people. Pray with your children or someone today that you can give them a model to follow.

2 Chronicles 31:10 “And Azariah the high priest, from the family of Zadok, replied, since the people began bringing their gifts to the Lord’s temple, we have had enough to eat and plenty to spare, for the Lord has blessed His people.”
God doesn’t need our gifts. You need to give them. Express to the Lord today how you feel about His generous reward for your faithfulness to Him.

2 Chronicles 31:14-20. We see in these verses everyone receives his fair portion, and God is pleased. Pray for faithful stewardship of God’s resources in the body of Christ today.

2 Chronicles 32

2 Chronicles 32:1-5 We can learn so much from the bible reading today that can help us maintain our victories. Hezekiah doesn’t wait until the enemy is at the gate before he mobilises his defences. Neither should you. Ask the Lord to show you where you are vulnerable to the enemy. Then ask Him to strengthen you.

2 Chronicles 32:7-8 Believe it, and declare it today over your life. “I don’t need to fear any enemy with You on my side, Lord. You are greater than any power in heaven or on earth! I praise You for Your power and protection.”

2 Chronicles 32:13 Even though the enemy may want to threaten us of how he brought destruction to others in the past. We are not just serving any god, anywhere. Only You, Lord, our one true God Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, can save us! You deserve the praise.

2 Chronicles 32:22-23 There is no counterfeit for God’s peace. Ask the Lord to demonstrate His presence in your life to others through the peace He gives you.

2 Chronicles 32:24-25. We see again today that pride lurks around every corner, ready to pounce and pull you away from the Lord. Examine your mind and heart for any hint of pride, then ask the Lord to protect you from pride’s power.

2 Chronicles 32:31 I remember the words of the psalmist in Psalm 143:6-8. “I reach out for You. I thirst for You as parched land thirst for rain. Come quickly, Lord, and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don’t turn away from me, or I will die. Let me hear of Your unfailing love to me in the morning, for I am trusting You.”

Proverbs 24:1-16

Proverbs 24:3-4. Lord, please build my house by Your wisdom. Fill it’s rooms with godly values and strong character.

Proverbs 24:10 Lord, give me grace under pressure; help me to function well when even when things are against me.

Proverbs 24:12 “Don’t try to avoid responsibility by saying you didn’t know about it. For God knows all hearts, and He sees you. He keeps watch over your soul, and He knows you knew! And He will judge all people according to what they have done.”
Lord, You know all hearts, and You see me. You keep watch over my soul. Help me not to shirk responsibility but to be a person of integrity in all I do.

Matthew 20:1-16.

Matthew 20:1-16 Pray that the Lord will help you understand the generous love He has toward all His people. Pray for humility as you receive the gifts and grace He as given you out of His generous love.

2 Chronicles 29-30; Proverbs 23:19-35; Matthew 19:16-30

2 Chronicles 29

2 Chronicles 29:1-2 Lord I thank You today that we don’t have to follow in our parents footsteps if they didn’t follow You. Hezekiah reverses the downward trend of his father and pleases the Lord. If you struggle with the impact your parents failings have had on your, let me encourage you to take your hurts and difficulties to God.

2 Chronicles 29:3 in the very first month of the first year of his reign, Hezekiah puts first things first. Life is short. Today is there something in your life that needs reform? Ask the Lord to help you begin today.

2 Chronicles 29:15 The Levites purify themselves before they begin to purify the temple. Here I am again Jesus I want more of You living through me. Begin with me, Lord. Purify me. Please take the log out my eye before I try to take the speck out of my brothers eye!

2 Chronicles 29:24 “The priests then killed the goats as a sin offering and sprinkled their blood on the alter to make atonement for the sins of all Israel.” Let us take time and intercede for members of your extended family, asking God to forgive them and draw them closer to Himself.

2 Chronicles 29:29-30 Lord I just want to bow before you in adoration because Your unfailing love is better to me than life itself. I praise You with every fibre of my being please give me all it takes to honour You as long as I live, lifting my hands to You in prayer. You satisfy me more than the richest of foods. I will praise You with songs of joy. (Psalm 63:3-5)..

2 Chronicles 29:35-36 In these wonderful verses we see God blessed Hezekiah’s efforts to re-establish proper worship in the temple. Ask the Lord to bless all your efforts to do right and good and to give Him proper glory in your life.

2 Chronicles 30

2 Chronicles 30:8-9 “Do not be stubborn, as they were, but submit yourselves to the Lord.”
When I sin Lord help me to run quickly to You and repent. Please help me not to be stubborn in my pride! But You are gracious and merciful. You will not turn Your face away from me. In You I find peace and restoration.

2 Chronicles 30:10 You wonder how these people could laugh at Hezekiah’s message of forgiveness and reconciliation. But don’t you see it every day, people laughing at God while the enemy plunders their families and homes? Let us rise up today and intercede for our nation to return to the Lord.

2 Chronicles 30:18-20 Are you one those who believe you have to clean up your act before you can come to God? That’s not God’s way. He says “Come.” Then He’ll heal you. Thank God for loving you and calling you even in your sin.

2 Chronicles 30:22 NLT “Hezekiah encouraged the Levites for the skill they displayed as they served the Lord. So for seven days the celebration continued. Peace offerings were sacrificed, and the people confessed their sins to the Lord, the God of their ancestors.” It is amazing to see what a little encouragement accomplishes! Ask the Lord to show you who you can encourage today in their service to the Lord.

2 Chronicles 30:26 Thank You Lord I am overcome with joy of Your unfailing love, for You have seen my troubles, and You care about the anguish of my soul. You have not handed me over to my enemy but have set me in a safe place (Psalm 31:7-8)

Proverbs 23:19-35

Proverbs 23:23 Father, help me to live by the truth; please give me wisdom, discipline, and discernment.

Proverbs 23:29-30 Please join in prayer for the families of addicts and alcoholics.

Matthew 19:16-30

Matthew 19:16 Heavenly Father, we can rejoice that with You all things are possible. Thank You for Your marvellous grace through Jesus Christ, the only way for us to enter heaven.

Matthew 19:29 Let us join in prayer for wisdom to see and understand heaven’s values. Ask God for the strength to invest in eternity by being willing to give up things here on earth if He ask it of you.

Isaiah 34

Isaiah 34:1 NLT “Come here and listen, O nations of the earth. Let the world and everything in it hear My words.” Let us respond to the call of God to us today and spend some quiet time reading the Scriptures and listen to Him. Be silent and alert, waiting for Him to speak to Your heart.

Isaiah 34:16. Father, I know that all Your promises come true. Help me to follow the example of those who are going to inherit Your promises because of their faith and patience (Hebrews 6:12)

Isaiah 35

Isaiah 35:3 Dear Lord grant us the opportunity today to strengthen those who have tired hands, encourage those who have weak knees, and reassure those who are afraid.

Isaiah 35:10 Lord, I pray for those who are sorrowful and mourning today. Please comfort them in their grief, and let them soon experience joy and gladness.

Proverbs 23:1-18

Proverbs 23:12. In view of the instruction given in his reading today Lord. I commit myself to instruction, teach me Your word and Your way.

Matthew 19:1-15

As we look around us we can see how marriages have been the subject of attacks from the enemy. Lift up in prayer any couple you know who is experiencing difficulties in their marriage or considering divorce. Pray for them to have wisdom and patience as they work through the problems they face.

Isaiah 32-33; Proverbs 22:17-29; Matthew 18:15-35

Isaiah 32

Isaiah 32:1-3 Father, today I pray for refreshment in my own spiritual life and in the life of my church family. May Your presence be like a fresh stream in the desert. May we enjoy Your presence as we enjoy cool shade on a very hot day.

Isaiah 32:5 NLT “I that day ungodly fools will not be heroes. Wealthy cheaters will not be respected as outstanding citizens.” Lord, please save me and my children and my brothers and sisters from exalting ungodly fools as heroes. Help us find worthy people to respect and revere.

Isaiah 32:18 NLT “My people will live in safety, quietly at home. They will be at rest.”. Pray for the safety and serenity of your home, that it will be a refuge for you your family and all live there.

Isaiah 33

Isaiah 33:2 Lord, be merciful to me, for I wait for You. Sometimes waiting is the hardest thing for me to do, Lord! Be my strength each day and save me when I face trouble.

Isaiah 33:14-15 NLT “The sinners in Jerusalem shake with fear. Which one of us, they cry, can live here in the presence of this all-consuming fire? The ones who can live here are those who are honest and fair, who reject making a profit by fraud, who stay away from bribes, who refuse to listen to those who plot murder, who shut their eyes to all enticement to do wrong.” Lord God, You are an all-consuming fire, and I worship You. Help me to live an honest and fair life and to shut my eyes to all enticement to do wrong.

Isaiah 33:21-22. NLT “Lord will be our Mighty One. He will be like a wide river of protection that no enemy can cross. For the Lord is our judge, our lawgiver, and our King, He will care for us and save us.” Lord I lift my voice and praise You because You are the Mighty One. You are like a wide river of protection that no enemy can cross. You are my judge, lawgiver, and King. You care for me and save me.

Proverbs 22:17-29

Proverbs 22:24-25 NLT. “Keep away from angry, short-tempered people, or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul.” Dear Lord, help me steer clear of angry short-tempered people. I don’t want to be like them.

Matthew 18:15-35

Matthew 18:15-20 Pray hat God will give you a spirit of love, mercy, and justice as you learn to confront fellow believers in the way Christ taught.

Matthew 18:21 Examine your conscience to see if you hold resentment, hostility, or anger toward anyone. Pray that the Lord will help you release it.

Isaiah 30:10 Lord give me no patience for lies and false teaching, instead I ask You to give me an ear for the truth and the ability to both hear it and speak it.

Matthew 18:1-14

Matthew 18:3 Search your heart to discover whether worldly sophistication and pride have come between you and God. Ask God to restore in you a humble and childlike faith.

Matthew 18:7-8 Ask god to convict you of any behaviour that may be causing others to sin or that may be obscuring their vision of the kingdom. Confess your sin before God.

Matthew 18:12-14 Lord, help us not to be hard hearted when another soul is welcomed into Your loving fold. Teach us to rejoice with You when one of Your own is found.
