Join 24 hours of prayer for Pastor Nadarkhani

In four days, on 8 September, Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani will appear in court again, this time to face new charges that may be related to crimes against national security.

Pastor Nadarkhani has spent over 1,000 days in prison since he was sentenced to death for apostasy in 2010.  He has been in court several times and been given the opportunity to recant his faith to see the death sentence lifted.  Each time, he refused.  CSW has been campaigning for him since his arrest, and the international pressure on his case has so far helped to delay his execution.

Now, the Iranian authorities are putting him on trial again.  The exact charges have not been released but there are fears he may be charged with national security crimes or even blasphemy. According to our sources, judges reportedly received instructions to try Pastor Nadarkhani on new, trumped up charges in order to make his sentence appear more acceptable.

If accurate, the  latest information from the Mohabat News Agency makes his situation even more worrying.  According to reports issued last Friday, Iran’s new penal code states that anyone committing a national or international security crime can be charged with “spreading corruption on earth” and could receive the death sentence.   That’s why we want to cover Pastor Nadarkhani in prayer on the day of the trial. We’ve got around 100 prayer slots available, so just pick your preferred slot, and don’t worry if someone’s already signed up for your chosen time.   The more people praying the better!

Day 70: Prayer over Olympic Park

Decree:

I AM THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2: 9-11)

We decree that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father, and that His name is above every other name. At His name every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God. We decree that the government of the British Isles is on His shoulders.

Blessing:

Aaronic Blessing (see below)

We bless the nations and islands of the British Isles with knowing and believing that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father, and we bless them with bowing the knee to the name of Jesus.

Noon:

The Lord’s Prayer and the Prayer of Protection (see below)

Daily Prayers:

A Prayer of Blessing

We bless you that justice and righteousness might take their proper place within your boundaries. We stand in the mighty name of Jesus and bless you Westminster. That you might prosper under the mighty hand of God.

We bless you that the favour of the Lord might rest upon you and give you peace.

We bless you that the Father’s compassion might fall upon your people.

We bless your poor that they might be lifted up.

We bless you that the knowledge of Jesus might come in amongst you like a flood.

We bless the people of God in (name of city) that they might rise up with servant authority and become a people of blessing.

We bless you that the joy of the Lord might be your strength. Amen.

Aaronic Blessing

The Lord bless you and keep you,

The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you.

The Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.

So they will put My Name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.

(Numbers 6:24-27)

Prayer of Protection

Almighty Father, we come to You in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, and in that mighty Name we break the power of every strategy and assignment sent against the British Isles and Ireland. We pray the mighty covering of the Living Blood of Jesus Christ over our villages, towns and cities, over our coastlands, seaports and airports.

We ask that You release the angelic host to protect us from every attack and lift each citizen above every circumstance and crisis. We affirm the finished work of Christ over all demonic forces and decree that no weapon formed against the plans and purposes for the British Isles and Ireland will prosper, and we decree that no longer will violence be heard in our land, or destruction within our borders.

We bless the atmosphere to be charged with peace and order. Amen.

(Isaiah 54:17 & 60:18)
