Day 1 prayer over Plymouth

Decree:

I AM THE GATE

“Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of Glory may come in.” (Psalm 24:7)

We decree that the gates of the Church, Government, Judiciary, Education, Commerce, Family and Media be
opened, that Jesus Christ be enthroned to take His rightful place of rule and authority in every sphere of life.

Blessing:

Aaronic Blessing

We bless and welcome the King of Glory to rule and reign over the British Isles and Ireland.

Noon:

The Lord’s Prayer and the Prayer of Protection.

Daily Prayers:

A Prayer of Blessing to be prayed over each city each day

We stand in the mighty name of Jesus and bless you (name of city eg Plymouth on Day 1)
That you might prosper under the mighty hand of God.
We bless you that justice and righteousness might take their proper place within your boundaries. We bless
you that the favour of the Lord might rest upon you and give you peace.
We bless you that the Father’s compassion might fall upon your people. We bless your poor that they might
be lifted up.
We bless you that the knowledge of Jesus might come in amongst you like a flood.
We bless the people of God in (name of city) that they might rise up with servant authority and become a
people of blessing.
We bless you that the joy of the Lord might be your strength. Amen.

Aaronic Blessing

The Lord bless you and keep you,
The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.
So they will put My Name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.
(Numbers 6:24-27)

Prayer of Protection

Almighty Father, we come to You in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, and in that mighty Name we break the power of every strategy and assignment sent against the British Isles and Ireland. We pray the mighty covering of the Living Blood of Jesus Christ over our villages, towns and cities, over our coastlands, seaports and airports. We ask that You release the angelic host to protect us from every attack and lift each citizen above every circumstance and crisis. We affirm the finished work of Christ over all demonic forces and decree that no weapon formed against the plans and purposes for the British Isles and Ireland will prosper, and we decree that no longer will violence be heard in our land, or destruction within our borders. We bless the atmosphere to be charged with peace and order. Amen.
(Isaiah 54:17 & 60:18)

Pray the blessing prayer over Land’s End

Decree: I am the light of the world

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

We declare that our nation will serve one God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. We negate any ties to Zeus and demonic forces, and declare and decree that this torch will be symbolic of the light of Jesus going through our land.

Blessing: Aaronic Blessing

As the Olympic torch begins its 70-day journey tomorrow over these Isles we release the blessing of Christ Jesus. We bless this nation to know the One and Only true God, for scales to fall off eyes, and unbelief to turn to faith.

Noon: The Lord’s Prayer and the Prayer of Protection

O Lord God Almighty,
We worship and bless Your Holy Name.
We bring the British Isles before You.
Have mercy on us and forgive our foolish ways.
Come to our aid, Father. Cause Your will to be done among us.
Come, Lord Jesus: You alone are the Way, the Truth and the Life.
May You be honoured and glorified in our nations.
Come, Holy Spirit: refresh and revive us again.
Draw us after You and let us run together.
In Jesus’ wonderful Name.

A Word from the Chairman

During the last nine years I have had the responsibility of putting together the international version of the “30-Days” prayer materials. I want to thank you for praying. Many of you have participated for several years. Much progress has been made in making the Messiah known to Muslims around the world. “30-Days” has played a role in the effort. God is doing marvelous things.

Friendships are needed to make the Gospel known. I want to encourage you to become a friend of Muslims in your heart. Tomorrow will be Friday. Will you join me in praying for Muslims on Fridays during the coming weeks, perhaps for the coming year? In this way you may continue to be involved in saving their lives for all eternity. On our web site you can find some tools to help you to pray on Fridays.

Pray For Regional Coordinators:

Today I ask you to pray for the coordinators of “30-Days” around the world. Many of the coordinators and other volunteers have served in producing and distributing this prayer literature for many years. Some do this with significant personal risk, several are my personal friends. They face numerous spiritual and practical challenges. You might also think of participating in this prayer effort by giving financially. We are planning to do “30-Days” again in August 2011. It will be our 20th Ramadan prayer effort. We hope you will join us.

Victor, the Chairman of the “30-Days” Coordinators

Britain’s Muslim / Christian Dialogue

Today there are roughly 2.4 million Muslims living in Britain. They come from all over the world and include second and third generation immigrants as well as converts from the British population. There are over 1600 mosques and most universities have prayer rooms designated for Muslim students.

Events of recent years have made it difficult for many Christians to build relationships with Muslims in their neighbourhoods. Cultural misunderstandings and the isolation of Muslim communities have made it challenging for many British Christians to know where to begin in making friends with Muslims.

There are those on both sides who are addressing the fears and creating platforms where relationships can develop in shared schoolyards, workplaces and neighbourhoods.

Prayer Starters:

  • Pray against the fear which many British people have about Muslim culture.
  • Pray for genuine friendships to develop across the cultural barriers and for real love to characterise the relationships between Muslim and Christian.
  • Pray that the church would be a hospitable place for new Muslim immigrants and other alienated Muslims, and that programs to assist them would demonstrate the love of Christ.
  • Pray that ongoing dialogue between Christian and Muslim leaders in this nation would be fruitful.

Pray for East Malaysia

Good News: East Malaysia is seeing a mighty outpouring of the Spirit of God! Believers say they are having a revival. And several Christian groups say they are having a marvelous impact on society and the majority Muslim population. In fact, East Malaysia has one of the most vibrant and growing communities of believers in Southeast Asia!

Although this miracle is happening in Eastern Malaysia, it is hoped that this will spill over and have a significant impact on the larger Malay population on the Malaysian Peninsula. According to a census, large numbers of indigenous tribal peoples are embracing faith in Christ.

Prayer Starters:

  • Bless what God is doing, pray for more of an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in East Malaysia.
  • May God inspire believers to become more intentional in reaching out to their Muslim neighbours and fellow workers.
  • Pray that God would raise up people with various spiritual gifts to help the believers and help Muslims to discover the Good News.
  • Pray for the establishing of culturally-relevant, indigenous communities of faith in each Muslim community.
  • There are challenges for congregations which seek to welcome Muslims who discover the Messiah. Pray for them as they seek to help new believers

Key Scriptures:
