Isaiah 26-27; Proverbs 21:1-14; Matthew 17:1-13

Isaiah 26

Isaiah 26:3 So often we look for peace in all the wrong places. Lord we ask that You will give us perfect peace today because we trust in You and because our thoughts are fixed on You.

Isaiah 26:7 Smooth out the road ahead of me, Lord. Keeping Your commands is not difficult for those who love You (1 John 5:3). Tell the Lord you want to grow in your love for Him.

Isaiah 26:15 Oh, Lord, I pray with Jabez of old that You would bless me and extend my borders! “please be with me in all I do, and keep from all trouble and pain.” (1 Chronicles 4:10).

Isaiah 26:19 Thank You, Father, for the assurance that those who belong to You will live forever! What a glorious thought that is when life throws difficulties and pain my way. I belong to You, and I will rise up someday and sing for joy!

Isaiah 27

Isaiah 27:6 Heavenly Father, please cause my roots to grow “down deep into the soil of Your marvellous love” (Ephesians 3:17)

Isaiah 27:11 Lord, let me never be so foolish and stupid as to turn away from You. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on you, on whom my faith depends from start to finish (Hebrews 12:2)

Proverbs 21:1-14

Proverbs 21:1 Lord, please make my heart like a stream of water. Direct it, refresh it, and turn it wherever You please.

Proverbs 21:4 Tell the Lord how you feel about haughty eyes, a proud heart, and evil actions. Ask Him to deliver you from these sins.

Matthew 17:1-13

Matthew 17:1-7 Majesty I worship Your Majesty! Before You, Father and before Your beloved Son, I bow in awe of Your power and majesty. I love You, Lord, and I lift my voice to worship and praise You.

It is good to have the word penetrate my classroom first thing in the morning.
