Habakkuk 1-2; Psalm 110; Hebrews 5

Habakkuk 1

Habakkuk 1:3 Pray for God to heal the sin and misery all around you.

Habakkuk 1:4 Pray for the effective and just administration of the law in your nation and community.

Habakkuk 1:12-13 Lord I declare You as my Holy One, I praise You because you are eternal and just. Even when I don’t understand why You’re doing what You’re doing. I worship and trust you.

Habakkuk 2

Habakkuk 2:1 Lord, I wait patiently to see what You will say to me. I sit quietly, watching for you to come and answer.

Habakkuk 2:4 Dear heavenly father, please help us to live by faith today, in all we think, say, and do.

Habakkuk 2:9 Ask God to oppose those who are trying to get rich by unjust means. Pray that they will realise their wealth provides little true security.

Habakkuk 2:14 Heavenly Farther, what a glorious time it will be when You fill all the earth, and everyone in it, with an awareness of Your glory. I pray that we will not have to wait until that time to be fully aware of Your magnificent might and glory.

Psalm 110

Psalm 110:1 Father God, I praise You for the exaltation of Jesus, my Lord, to Your right hand, in fulfilment of Your Word. (Acts 2:34-35).

Psalm 110:7 Lord, I pray for refreshment for every believer in You today and for victory in every area of their lives.

Hebrews 5

Hebrews 5:7-8 As I have been walking through the streets of Jerusalem today, it has been possible to ponder the way in which Jesus prayed, pleading and crying before God to deliver Him from death. Pray that His example will show you how to learn obedience through suffering.

Hebrews 5:11-14 Heavenly Father, I thank You for the nourishment of Your word. Lord I thank You for the various ways the nourishment is presented to us. Through Bible studies, sermons, books, teachings of other Christians. Lord let Your church that should be on Solid food but still on milk, experience spiritual maturity we pray.

When we see in the news the disappearance of the little Welsh girl from her own enclosed garden – indeed we can pray for sins and the ensuing human misery to be healed and plucked out of our land.
