Jeremiah 18-20;Proverbs 31:1-9; James 4

Jeremiah 18

Jeremiah 18:6 Master, please shape me and use me like clay in the potter’s hand. I want no shape but the one You mould, Lord.

Jeremiah 18:12 Lord, please make me more and more submissive to you; curb my rebellious tendencies.

Jeremiah 18:18 God, I don’t want to be a part of spreading rumours and gossip. Make me aware of the temptation to gossip and give me the strength to resist it.

Jeremiah 18:23 Father, please frustrate the plans of those who would hinder Your work in my life.

Jeremiah 19

Jeremiah 19:1 Lord, I am willing to be used to communicate Your message, even when it’s a message that others will not want to hear.

Jeremiah 19:8 Father, please protect me from folly; prevent me from building monuments to my own stupidity. When people see me, I want them to praise You for Your work in my life, not gasp at my shattered efforts to make something of myself.

Jeremiah 20:1-2 Pray for those who have been unjustly arrested and imprisoned, especially those who have been so treated because of their service to God.

Jeremiah 20:9 God, let Your Word burn in my heart like a fire with such heat that I can’t hold it in but must share it with those around me.

Jeremiah 20:11 Thank You, Lord, for standing beside me like a great warrior. What comfort it gives me when I face trouble to know that You are right there!

Jeremiah 20:13 I praise You, Lord Jesus, for Your great love and kindness. I praise You that, though You were very rich, yet for my sake You became poor, so that by Your poverty You could make me rich (2 Corinthians 8:9)

Proverbs 31:1-9

Proverbs 31:8 God,give us opportunities to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. May we be instruments of Your justice in an unjust world.

James 4

James 4:1-3 Lord, so often we distort the ability You have given us to take pleasure in good things let envy and ambition take over. Help me enjoy Your good gifts, trusting that you have given me precisely enough for my good.

James 4:7-10 Lord, I bow before You, acknowledging my spiritual and emotional bankruptcy. Fill me with Your Spirit and make me whole with Your love.

James 4:11-12 Pray that God will give you a spirit of love and acceptance for your neighbours and the ability to encourage them to holiness without criticism, judgment, or condemnation.

James 4:13-17 I submit my future, my ambitions, and my plans o your scrutiny. Lord, Thank You for Your guidance.
