Jeremiah 14-15; Proverbs 30:18-33; James 2

Jeremiah 14

Jeremiah 14:1-4 Pray for the areas of the world that are suffering from drought.

Jeremiah 14:7 O Hope of Israel, our Saviour, please help us today in all we do today for the sake of Your own reputation, so that others will see and understand Your power in our lives.

Jeremiah 14:14 Lord, please silence those who tell lies in Your name, who speak the foolishness they have made up in their lying hearts.

Jeremiah 14:17 Contemplate the wounds of God’s precious people, the way Christians are being hurt and oppressed in our land and throughout the world and pray for them.

Jeremiah 15

Jeremiah 15:2 Lord, to whom else can we go? You alone have the wisdom and direction and comfort we need. Please keep our eyes solely on You.

Jeremiah 15:16 Father, when life is getting me down, Your word sustain me. When sorrow overcomes me, You are my great joy and hearts delight. I bear Your name, O Lord God Almighty! What more can I ask for in life.

Proverbs 30: 18-33

Proverbs 30:18-19 Creator God, like the writer I can say so much about this world amazes me. You have done great things, and they are far too wonderful for me.

Proverbs 30:24-28 Lord, thank You that You allow even the smallest creatures on earth to demonstrate Your wisdom. Please help me do the same.

Proverbs 30:32 Pray for a healthy sense of shame. Ask God to protect you from becoming comfortable with sin.

James 2

James 2:1-9 Ask the Holy Spirit to illumine your spirit and root out any tendency you have to discriminate against people. Pray that the Holy Spirit will help you see others with God’s perspective.

James 2:12-13 Heavenly Father, I praise You for Your mercy and love in the way You have dealt with my sin. May Your perfect law of love and mercy be my rule as I deal with the short comings of others.

James 2:21-26 Pray that God will draw you and support you as you take that difficult step of faith and obedience He has been prompting you to take for Him.
