Daniel 9-10; Ecclesiastes 10; John 8:31-59

Daniel 9

Daniel 9:3 Lord, on reflection of the dreams you gave to Daniel which left him shaken by seeing the things that were to come. It turned his heart to pray even more for his people. Teach me to lament when I see sin abounding among Your people. Guard me from an unaffected individualism that keeps my praying focused on me alone.

Daniel 9:14 Lord God, praise You because You are just in everything You do. What confidence that gives us Your children as we live our lives for You.

Daniel 9:17 Let us move away from our selfishness and all self sufficiency and be like Daniel and plead with God to smile on the church and bless it.

Daniel 9:23 Loving Saviour, thank You, that You are always waiting to hear and answer prayer. Thank You for often answering the moment we begin praying.

Daniel 9:25 Thank You, Father, for Your Anointed One, the Christ, the Word, the Son of Man, the Son of God, Immanuel, the Prince of Peace, and the Rock of my salvation. Hallelujah!

Daniel 10

Daniel 10:1 Lord, we praise You for those times when You revealed the future to us Your people, knowing perfectly what we need to know and what we don’t need to know.

Daniel 10:12 Let us humble ourselves before God and pray for Him to give us understanding regarding the questions in our lives. Lord I realise prayer ignites spiritual warfare invisible to us.

Daniel 10:13-14 Lord, help us not to get weary but to understand that spiritual warfare can delay
victories because both spiritual kingdoms seem to have princes.

Daniel 10:16 Touch my lips, Lord, and let me speak under the direction of the Holy Spirit today.

Daniel 10:18-19 Lord, help us not to fear spiritual warfare. What a comfort the words from these verses are to me. Please give us peace and freedom from fear. Please help us to take heart and be strong.

Daniel 10:20-21 Please grant us Lord, Your knowledge to know that, understanding warfare enables us to cooperate with God’s purposes.

Ecclesiastes 10

Ecclesiastes 10:4 Lord, most of us have wanted to quit at one time or another. Not just our jobs, some have wanted to quit life. I pray You will protect us Lord, not just from mistakes, but also from stifling discouragement.

Ecclesiastes 10:12 Lord, give us a hunger for use words, the Scriptures most of all. Help our speech to be consistent with the principles You have revealed in the bible.

John 8:31-59

John 8:32 Jesus, how awesome is the truth of Your Word and Your presence in my life. I thank You for the freedom with which You have blessed me, the freedom to live in peace and joy and contentment.

John 8:36 Jesus, You said that You have! Yet still so often many of us live as if we were still stuck in our sin. Help us to appropriate the freedom from sin You have already won, I pray.

John 8:44 Ask The Lord to illumine Your heart and mind so that you can recognise the lies of Satan and banish them from your life.
