Ezekiel 17-18; John 14

Ezekiel 17

Ezekiel 17:5 Lord, please let my roots go down deeper and deeper into the soil of Your marvellous love (Ephesians 3:17)

Ezekiel 17:10 Lord, I pray that my life will not wither and die like this seedling. Help everyone of us who love You and desire to serve You to live and grow knowing that apart from You I can do nothing. (John 15:5)

Ezekiel 17:15 Just as Israel didn’t get away with their sin and rebellion, remind me that neither will I, Lord. Save me from self-deception. Remind me that sin always has consequences.

Ezekiel 17:24 Father, I praise You because You will do what You have said. You are always true to Your word.

Ezekiel 18

Ezekiel 18:5, 9 Lord God, please by the power of Your Holy Spirit make us faithful, merciful, just, and obedient to You in all we do.

Ezekiel 18:10 Pray for the salvation and righteousness of each of your children and family members, mentioning them to God by name.

Ezekiel 18:22 Thank You, God, for forgiving all the sins of my past and giving eternal life in Jesus Christ.

Ezekiel 18:25 Lord, I praise You for Your infinite justice, by which all human justice must be measured.

Ezekiel 18:31 Father thank You for the day when I could willingly turn my back on my former sinful ways and my rebellion, O Lord. Thank You for giving me a new heart and a new spirit to live in fellowship with You. Help us to repent in sincerity, seek God for a new heart and a renewed spirit. May we understand that true spiritual transformation involves repentance.

John 14

John 14:1-4 Lord, when I consider the generosity and extravagance of Your hospitality. You have done so much for us in this life and still have laid up for us a glorious eternal future. Help me to walk worthy of Your precious gift of life.

John 14:6-7 Jesus, You are my way, my truth, my life. Only in Your arms can I be at peace with God and know eternal life, now and forever. Hold me close, Lord, I pray.

John 14:12-14 Pray for an expect the “greater things” that The Lord promised for the church.

John 14:15-16 Father, I praise You for sending the Wonderful Counsellor to be present with and in me. Holy Spirit, thank You for leading, guiding, and comforting me with God’s truth.

John 14:25-26 Lord, help us to understand that The Holy Spirit enables God’s people to understand and live by the truth. Spirit of God, whatever I’m doing, wherever I go, fill my mind and heart with the truth of God’s words.

Ezekiel 13-14; John 13:1-20

Ezekiel 13

Ezekiel 13:2 Lord, as you spoke to Ezekiel to speak against the false prophets of Israel who were inventing their own prophecies, and to tell them to listen to the Word of The Lord. Father I pray for those who wield local, national, and international influence in the world. May they actively and willingly listen to You and be governed by what Your Word says.

Ezekiel 13:10 Lord, help us to face trouble when it arises and not deceive ourselves or others by saying “All is peaceful!” when there is no peace at all!

Ezekiel 13:19 Lord, with these lying spirits at work, I pray You will plant in Your people a love for truth and an aversion to lies.

Ezekiel 13:22 Father, I want to be an encourager of the righteous, but I also want to be honest with those who are still living in their sins. Help us! Only with Your love and guidance can We be what We should be.

Ezekiel 14

Ezekiel 14:3,5 Lord, help us to embrace things that lead us in the paths of righteousness, instead of on the downward spiral into a sinful lifestyle. Capture our hearts, O Lord!

Ezekiel 14:10 Ask God to cleanse You from all falsehood and hypocrisy. Trust that He can do it through the redemptive work of Jesus, the Saviour.

Ezekiel 14:12-23 Lord, because the people lie on You and rebel against You, justice must be carried out. Sovereign Lord, to hear You mention Noah, Daniel, and Job four times in these verses as examples of men honouring You in there generation and to know You saved them. How wicked and evil things must have become when You had to say that even if these three men were there they could not save the people. I am so glad today that I can say because of the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ and the way of repentance which You have laid out for us, I can say I know that nothing happens to me without cause. I praise You for Your promise that everything in my life will work together for my good, because I love You. (Romans 8:28)

John 13

John 13:6-11 Consider whether you are willing to let others serve you in Christlike humility. Think about how your gracious acceptance of their help can be a gift to them. Thank Gd. Servants that care for you.

John 13:15-17 Pray that The Lord will give you the grace and humility to serve others his week. Ask Him to show you someone who especially needs your service.

Please continue to join us in prayer for the conflict in the Middle East lifting up God’s purpose for Israel and the people in that region.

Ezekiel 12

Psalm 127

Psalm 127:1-2 Lord, help me to understand that employing my skills for You is futile without Your presence and anointing upon them.

John 12:20-50

John 12:24 Whether or not you may be asked to die for Christ, ask Him to put to death your pride, ambition, and selfishness so that you can be fruitful in His name.

John 12:31 Thank God that the “prince of this world.” The Devil, is ultimately powerless through Jesus’ death. Praise God that “the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet” (Romans 16:20)

John 12:35-36 Lord, even when I seem to be stumbling blindly though some of the hardest, darkest times of my life, I believe that You are the light of he world and that You will never leave me in darkness.

Daniel 9-10; Ecclesiastes 10; John 8:31-59

Daniel 9

Daniel 9:3 Lord, on reflection of the dreams you gave to Daniel which left him shaken by seeing the things that were to come. It turned his heart to pray even more for his people. Teach me to lament when I see sin abounding among Your people. Guard me from an unaffected individualism that keeps my praying focused on me alone.

Daniel 9:14 Lord God, praise You because You are just in everything You do. What confidence that gives us Your children as we live our lives for You.

Daniel 9:17 Let us move away from our selfishness and all self sufficiency and be like Daniel and plead with God to smile on the church and bless it.

Daniel 9:23 Loving Saviour, thank You, that You are always waiting to hear and answer prayer. Thank You for often answering the moment we begin praying.

Daniel 9:25 Thank You, Father, for Your Anointed One, the Christ, the Word, the Son of Man, the Son of God, Immanuel, the Prince of Peace, and the Rock of my salvation. Hallelujah!

Daniel 10

Daniel 10:1 Lord, we praise You for those times when You revealed the future to us Your people, knowing perfectly what we need to know and what we don’t need to know.

Daniel 10:12 Let us humble ourselves before God and pray for Him to give us understanding regarding the questions in our lives. Lord I realise prayer ignites spiritual warfare invisible to us.

Daniel 10:13-14 Lord, help us not to get weary but to understand that spiritual warfare can delay
victories because both spiritual kingdoms seem to have princes.

Daniel 10:16 Touch my lips, Lord, and let me speak under the direction of the Holy Spirit today.

Daniel 10:18-19 Lord, help us not to fear spiritual warfare. What a comfort the words from these verses are to me. Please give us peace and freedom from fear. Please help us to take heart and be strong.

Daniel 10:20-21 Please grant us Lord, Your knowledge to know that, understanding warfare enables us to cooperate with God’s purposes.

Ecclesiastes 10

Ecclesiastes 10:4 Lord, most of us have wanted to quit at one time or another. Not just our jobs, some have wanted to quit life. I pray You will protect us Lord, not just from mistakes, but also from stifling discouragement.

Ecclesiastes 10:12 Lord, give us a hunger for use words, the Scriptures most of all. Help our speech to be consistent with the principles You have revealed in the bible.

John 8:31-59

John 8:32 Jesus, how awesome is the truth of Your Word and Your presence in my life. I thank You for the freedom with which You have blessed me, the freedom to live in peace and joy and contentment.

John 8:36 Jesus, You said that You have! Yet still so often many of us live as if we were still stuck in our sin. Help us to appropriate the freedom from sin You have already won, I pray.

John 8:44 Ask The Lord to illumine Your heart and mind so that you can recognise the lies of Satan and banish them from your life.

Daniel 5:26-27 God, please help me to make the most of my life, however long or short it may be. When I come to the end of my life, may the balance weigh in my favour, Lord, not because of anything I’ve done, but because of what You’ve done in my life.

Daniel 6

Daniel 6:3-4 God blessed Daniel in his work because of his faithfulness and honesty. Consciously put God in charge of your job placement and advancement. Do the best you’re able to do, and commit the rest in prayer to Him.

Daniel 6:10 Father, help us, please let nothing, not distractions, not amusements, not challenges interfere with my times of pryer and fellowship with you.

Daniel 6:16 Please give me the courage, Lord, to stand firm when my faith is challenged and my convictions are tested.

Daniel 6:20-22 God, I thank You that You are able to keep me and protect me through every circumstance, and bring me into your “glorious presence innocent of sin and with great joy” (Jude 24).

Daniel 6:26-27 Lord, I praise You because You are the living God, and You will endure forever, Your holy rule will never end. You rescue and save Your people. I know that if you could protect Daniel from the mouths of lions, You can protect my family and me.

Ecclesiastes 8:17 Remind me often, Lord, that I don’t know everything. Help me to be humble in my quest for and use of knowledge.

John 7:25-53

John 7:25-27 Give thanks to God for His living word, that through the prophets of the Old Testament and the Good News of the New Testament, you recognise and can know the Messiah.

John 7:38 Saviour, I open my heart and mind to You, the living water, my only source of eternal life. Let me drink deeply of Your presence and let the river of Your Spirit flow through my Spirit.

John 7:50-51 Pray that God will give you the courage and clarity you need to assert yourself in the cause of righteousness and justice even though you stand in the minority.
