2012 The Year in Review

Worldwide Mission Fellowship Looks back at 2012

Queen’s Jubilee

Our prayers and supplications for those in authority continued in 2012 and in particular for the Queen and Royal Family. It was wonderful to see the Lord honoured throughout these celebrations in accordance with our prayers.

Olympics

For 70 days leading up to the Olympic opening ceremony, WWMF joined in prayerful agreement with Christians around the world, as the Olympic torch travelled the United Kingdom. A ‘Praise Bus’ followed the exact torch route at the same time as the torch.

GDOP

Wembley stadium was overtaken by a wave of prayer and praise when over 32,000 people gathered for the National Day of Prayer and Worship on Saturday 29th September 2012.

Pastor Nadarkhani Released

As a church, we prayed and petitioned for the safety and release of Pastor Nadarkhani. However, at our weekly prayer meeting, on the Tuesday before his actual release, Pastor Dennis was led by The Lord for us to go further than we had previously gone in prayer. God gave an awesome breakthrough on the following Saturday as he was released from prison.

War in Israel

We continue to pray and advocate for Israel and we thank God for helping Israel to avoid a full scale war in November. We continue to vigilantly watch and pray for Israel.

Hurricane Sandy

We continue to pray for all of those around the world affected by natural disasters that they would find hope and salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Connecticut Shooting

We pray for our children and for children everywhere that God would help us to protect them and that they might come to know the joy and peace found in Jesus.

Persecution

This has been a heartbreaking year of persecution with horrific accounts of torture and killing across the islamic world. This has been particularly evident in Northern Nigeria We continue to support and pray for our brethren in these nations..

Politics

The political scene in the UK is going through a troubling time and we continue to pray and advocate for God’s truth and His ways to prevail in our land.

Conclusion

In spite of all these things, our God is sovereign and remains in control.

He is the King and we want to have His heart in 2013…
… for His Word
…for prayer
….for service (showing clips of mission work)

….
Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing loves and with him is full redemption. Psalm 130:7
