Jeremiah 25

Jeremiah 25:4 Help me, Lord, not only to listen to Your Word, but to hear it and obey it.

Jeremiah 25:17 Mighty God, thank You for saving me, through the work of Your Son, from the cup of Your anger, which I so richly deserve.

Jeremiah 25:31 Lord Jesus, I praise You because You will one day judge all the nations. You are the mighty God. You are Faithful and True. You judge fairly. You wear the title King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:11-16)

1 Peter 1

1 Peter 1:4 Bow before the Father in thanksgiving because He is reserving a priceless treasure for you in heaven. Thank Him for the joy you’ll experience there.

1 Peter 1:7 Even if you are going through hard times, submit you suffering to God as a sacrifice, telling Him that you trust Him to test and refine your faith.

1 Peter 1:8 Jesus, even though I cannot see You, You have made Yourself known to me. Your presence in my life has given me inexpressible joy even in the midst of my dark times, I love You, Lord.

1 Peter 1:13-15 Father, make me holy as You are holy. Clarify my thinking and train my thoughts and desires so that I will be ready to meet You face to face at last.

1 Peter 1:18-19 Thank the Lord for rescuing you from a life of dark emptiness and despair by sending His Son to be the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.

1 Peter 1:22 Pray that the assurance that God has taken away your sin will give you the freedom and power to love your brothers and sisters in the Lord, sincerely and intensely.

Jeremiah 35-36; Proverbs 31:10-31; James 5

Jeremiah 35

Jeremiah 35:5-16 Lord Almighty, God of Israel, we are told in 1 Samuel 15:22 that “To obey is better than sacrifice” Help us to obey You as completely as Recabites obeyed their ancestor. Teach us lessons in obedience daily, Lord. We pray for those who are oppressed by the spirit of rebellion which is as witchcraft to be loosed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jeremiah 35:17 Lord, this is a repetition of verse 15, showing two things that Judah would not do to avert judgment. They would not hear or obey. Help our nation and it’s leaders to turn to Your truths to avert the judgment we have caused to come over the nation. Lord please make me sensitive to Your voice and quick to answer Your call.

Jeremiah 35:18 Lord the secret of blessing is in this verse, because of obedience You promised the Rechabites an eternal house.

Jeremiah 36

Jeremiah 36:3 Meditate on the many chances God gives you to repent and turn to Him. Thank Him for his abundant, patient mercy.

Jeremiah 36:7 Merciful God, let our thoughts, words, and deeds invite Your pleasure and not Your anger.

Jeremiah 36:15 Father, would You grant this to the officials of our nation that they would say “sit down and read the Word to us”. We so easily become complacent and uninterested in what Your Word has to teach us. Forgive us, and stir our heart with a burning desire to read and hear Your Word.

Jeremiah 36:26 Lord, I pray this for the body of Christ. That You will hide us, protect us, from those who would prevent us from doing Your will.

Jeremiah 36:32 Lord, what an example Jeremiah is to me! Without complaint he rewrote everything the king had burned. Make me as diligent to preserve Your message and pass it on to others.

Proverbs 31

Proverbs 31:11 Heavenly Father, grant us opportunities to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. May we be instruments of justice in an unjust world.

Proverbs 31:28 Lord God, may our life at home bring You glory. Help us to be a person of such love and integrity that those who know us best will regard us most highly because of Your standard in our lives.

James 5

James 5:10-11 Lord, I thank You for those who have modeled for me perseverance in their faith and patience in suffering. I praise You for Your tenderness and mercy in showing me time and again how Your plans are for my ultimate good.

James 5:13 If you are going through suffering, offer it to God in sacrificial prayer of faith. Or offer your joy as a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving.

James 5:16-18 Father in heaven, how inspiring it is to know that You hear our prayers and that You are answering even before we speak. I bring before for you the children of the world Lord, in every nation we are seeing our children are being killed, even be shot through the head at fourteen years old for saying what is right. Help Lord!

Jeremiah 20:9 God, let Your Word burn in my heart like a fire with such heat that I can’t hold it in but must share it with those around me.

Jeremiah 20:13 I praise You, Lord Jesus, for Your great love and kindness. I praise You that, though You were very rich, yet for my sake You became poor, so that by Your poverty You could make me rich (2 Corinthians 8:9)

Proverbs 31:1-9

Proverbs 31:8 God,give us opportunities to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. May we be instruments of Your justice in an unjust world.

James 4

James 4:1-3 Lord, so often we distort the ability You have given us to take pleasure in good things let envy and ambition take over. Help me enjoy Your good gifts, trusting that you have given me precisely enough for my good.

James 4:7-10 Lord, I bow before You, acknowledging my spiritual and emotional bankruptcy. Fill me with Your Spirit and make me whole with Your love.

James 4:11-12 Pray that God will give you a spirit of love and acceptance for your neighbours and the ability to encourage them to holiness without criticism, judgment, or condemnation.

James 4:13-17 I submit my future, my ambitions, and my plans o your scrutiny. Lord, Thank You for Your guidance.
